The September 2019 edition of the Hemp and CBD Expo at the NEC, Birmingham brought together a community all keen to see the market develop and thrive in the UK. As part of the exhibition Jamie Bartley, Managing Director of Unyte Hemp, was invited onto a specialist panel discussion focussed on UK Hemp farming and agriculture.
Joining Jamie on the panel were Patrick Gillet from Hempen, Colin Morgan from ADAS, a UK-based independent agricultural and environmental consultancy, and Rebekah Shaman who founded the British Hemp Association (BHA).
The group talked about the array of benefits of growing industrial Hemp and the uses for the various end products from the crop, both for farmers and the wider population; the cultivation of Hemp could have a massive positive impact not only the economy but also the environment. They also shared advice for farmers looking to get into the business.
